Electric Safari at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is the only place in Colorado Springs where you can see over 85 one-of-a-kind light sculptures while celebrating the season with our animals at the same time! You’ll also enjoy photos with our larger-than-life illuminated inflatable animals located throughout the Zoo and a holiday-safari themed drone show! This year’s event will celebrate 34 years of holiday cheer, and Santa Claus will be listening to wishes December 6-23. We love our members! To say thank you, we open Electric Safari one hour early, just for members and their paying guests.

Do you have a Conservator, Patron, or Patron Gold membership? Advanced timed tickets are NOT required for entry for everyone listed on your membership, including you “plus” guests.  Please provide your ID at entry to validate your membership.  Advanced timed tickets are required for all other membership levels.

December 6-23, 25-January 1, 2025

  • 4 - 5 p.m. – Member Early Entry Hour Timed Tickets.  (Non-members are allowed to enter only if accompanied by a Zoo member.)
  • 5 - 7:30 p.m. – General Admission Timed Tickets.
  • 7:30 p.m. – Holiday-Safari Themed Drone Show.
  • Event ends at 8:30 p.m.

TICKET DETAILS:

  • To reserve non-member tickets for any ticket time 5 p.m. or after, CLICK HERE
  • Online timed e-tickets must be reserved in advance; no walk-up tickets available.
  • All individuals visiting the Zoo must have their own advance e-ticket, including children age 2 and under.
  • Advanced timed tickets are NOT required for entry with a Conservator, Patron or Patron Gold membership. Please provide your ID at entry to validate your membership.  Advanced timed tickets are required for all other membership levels.
  • Your timed ticket indicates the earliest time you can enter the Zoo.  Starting at your ticketed time, you have a half-hour window to enter the Zoo (for example, if your ticket is for 4 p.m., you need to be in line to enter the Zoo by 4:30 p.m.).  Early entries are not allowed. Once you’re inside, you are welcome to stay at Electric Safari until the event ends at 8:30 p.m.
  • The Zoo shuttle will not be running during this event.

RESERVING MEMBER E-TICKETS:

MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE:

  • *Individual Plus, Family, Grandparent and Family Plus level members are required to reserve complimentary advance tickets online. Conservator, Patron and Patron Gold level members are not required to reserve advance tickets.
  • All named members will be required to show a valid photo ID at the gate to confirm eligibility for member discount. Without a valid ID at the time of check in, members will be charged the appropriate non-member ticket fee.
  • Memberships cannot be renewed or purchased at the gate during Electric Safari hours, so be sure your membership is active before you arrive. You can download your digital membership card to verify your membership’s expiration date!

SIGN-IN (or register if you don’t have an online account) to reserve your member ticket. Your member discount will appear in the final shopping cart, once your tickets have been chosen.

TIPS FOR GETTING ELECTRIC SAFARI MEMBER E-TICKETS:

  • Are you registered online, but forgot your member login?  – Visit our Getting Started page (link to cmzoo.org/gettingstarted) to review our password reset guidelines and request a password reset email. Be sure to enter the email address that you registered with.

If you do not receive a password reset email, either:

– You have not completed the registration process. Complete the registration process here.

– Your email address on file is incorrect. Email membership@cmzoo.org to verify the email address associated with your online account – we’re happy to assist you!

- Are you locked out of your account? If you are locked out of your account, it will automatically unlock after 30 minutes.

- Can’t remember the email you registered with? Please email membership@cmzoo.org, and we will be happy to send you that information.

- Who qualifies for the Electric Safari member e-tickets? Anyone who is listed on a current membership can get fully discounted member tickets.

– Individual Plus members: the named adult and the “plus” guest are included

– Family or Grandparent members: the named adult(s) and any children listed on the membership are included.

– Family Plus members: the named adult(s), any children listed on the membership and the “plus” guest are included.

– Conservator members: the named adult(s), any children listed on the membership and two “plus” guests are included.

– Patron and Patron Gold members: the named adult(s), any children listed on the membership and three “plus” guests are included.

– Named Third Adults on all membership levels are included.

Additional guests who are not included on an active membership must purchase non-member tickets.


RESERVING NON-MEMBER GUEST TICKETS FOR MEMBER EARLY HOUR:

DISCOUNTS:

Follow the instructions below for eligible discounts for non-member guest tickets. Discounted tickets will not be honored at the gate without proper identification.  Only Electric Safari discounts are accepted.  No other passes or coupons will be applicable for a discount during the event.

Military Discount: The military discount is offered to all active duty, veteran and retired military personnel.  Bring any of the following to validate your discounted tickets purchased online for you, your spouse and your dependents living in the same household.

  • A valid military / retired military ID
  • A copy of your DD214
  • Your state driver’s license printed with veteran indicator or military identifier
  • Your ID issued by the VA, VFW or American Legion
  • A military spouse ID, if the military member is not present

This discount cannot be combined with other offers.  A valid military ID is required upon admission.

Senior Discount: Please bring a valid ID showing your age of 65+ to validate your discounted senior tickets at Admissions.


REFUND POLICY:

  • Purchased tickets can be refunded or exchanged up to two weeks prior to event date. (For example, tickets purchased for the night of Dec. 20 can be refunded through Dec. 6 only.) Email tickets@cmzoo.org for refund requests.
  • Refunds for purchased tickets are not available due to weather conditions or any other reason within two weeks of ticketed date. 

SERVICE ANIMALS:

We welcome service animals that are trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Individuals visiting the Zoo with the assistance of a service animal may only tour certain areas of the Zoo with their service animal. The Zoo can care for the service animal and provide staff guidance if you want to visit restricted areas. (Pets are not allowed inside the Zoo during Electric Safari.)
